Old Thai Woodcarved Statue, Chinese figure, 38cm high, TWCF02.
This beautiful Thai carving, from Northern Thailand, depicts a young Chinese girl, in standing posture wearing traditional clothing.
Very nicely carved and finished. A charming piece.
Not a true antique in terms of age, but this would have been carved circa 1960s – 1980s.
Teak wood with painted finish. Some signs of wear due to age. Please view photographs.
This type of statue could have been used outdoors in Thailand, but in a typically damp western European climate, probably best kept indoors.
Dimensions – approx 38cm high, 15cm wide x 15cm deep.
Weight approx 2.5kg.
