Old Thai Woodcarved Statue, Duck, 48cm high, TWDF04.
This beautiful Thai carving, from Northern Thailand, is wonderfully weather-worn and would have stood outside in Thailand.
Very nicely carved and finished with the wear providing great character to the piece. A charming sculpture.
This would have been carved circa 1930s – 1960s.
Teak wood. Would have been painted originally but only minor paint traces remaining.
Very worn due to age but structurally sound. Please view photographs.
This type of statue could have been used outdoors in Thailand, but in a typically damp western European climate, probably best kept indoors.
Dimensions – approx 48cm high, 30cm wide x 18cm deep.
Weight approx 3.7kg.
