Beautiful hand carved Khmer sculpture in red sandstone.

King Jayavarman VII (1125-1218) was the most important king in Cambodian history, responsible for a massive building program of public works and monuments. This includes the magnificent Bayon and the city of Angkor Thom surrounding it.
To this day, this Buddhist king, is still a much revered figure amongst Cambodian citizens.
