Description
Nagaland throw, AF
Nagaland blanket – throw – shawl
We think it’s safe to say that most people have never heard of Nagaland. It’s a state in the far north east of India, bordering Burma and very seldom visited by Westerners. The only time we remember it even being mentioned in the UK media was when Gordon Ramsay visited it for one of the programmes in his recent Indian cooking series.
This is very much a tribal culture and tradition remains very important. Weaving is one of those traditions and this cotton throw is an excellent and rare example.
Definitely one for somebody who wants something very different fom their neighbours and it’s not often we have stocked fabrics from Nagaland.
