Rice seed box – Large Spherical Box, 46cm high, CM1704.
Dimensions approx 46cm high, 43cm diameter.
The design is in the northern Lanna style – heavily influenced by Burma.
This lidded box is made from a lacquered circular bamboo frame, woven onto a square wooden base. Made using traditional Thai craft techniques.
Although called rice seed boxes, such boxes are used to store not only food products, but serve as general storage vessels.
A totally hand crafted product so some small imperfections should be expected.
