Thai Xylophone, Ranat Ek, Large size 86cm long.
This traditional Thai wooden xylophone, known in Thailand as Ranat Ek is the lead instrument in the instrumental grouping known as the piphat.
This instrument comprises 17 wooden bars suspended over a carved resonator trough which also serves as a storage area for the 2 hard wooden mallets.
Approx size: 86cm long x 25cm wide and 41cm high.
